Hey Bogleyites, I'm hoping someone can shed some light on San Cristobal Canyon. I'm heading to PR in the first week of September and I'd love to hit this canyon, it looks like a blast from the pictures. The best help I have found was a TR from a tourist that went in with a tour company: wwwdotpuertoricodaytripsdotcom/san-cristobal-canyon-rappel/
The canyon doesn't seem that complex and I'm really good at getting myself out of sticky situations, but I'd prefer a more detailed description of everything.
Really, I want this canyon to go smooth because I'm taking my wife and the last canyon I took her on was a canyon in Mexico. Unfortunately the 2nd rappel was missing its bolt and there wasn't anything to natural anchor off of. Fortunately I hadn't pulled my rope yet from the first rappel so we were able to ascend with about 120' of prussiking. She was totally a good sport, but I'm hoping for a less big surprise this time!
Thanks all!
