Red Castle uintas

I am planning a trip into Red Castle as I have never been there and have only seen if from atop porcupine pass. However since that time I have been very interested in knowing if it would be possible to pack over the unnamed pass that is directly above Upper Red Castle and join to the trail over Porcupine? Does anyone have any experience with this rout?

Yes, I have done it. I went from the West side of Porcupine pass, up and over that unnamed pass and dropped down somewhere between Upper Red Castle and Red Castle Lakes. Then walked along the West side of the lakes to the trees. I recall it being quite straightforward. Lots of rock hopping, similar to many alpine areas in the Uintas. The route is also described in David Rose's book "Utah Thirteeners" as part of one possible summit route to Wilson Peak.
