Zion first week of August

I'll be spending a week in Zion starting on the 3rd and staying for a week. Plan on ripping through a bunch of canyons, perhaps overnight the Right Fork of North Creek. Anyway, if you're looking for a partner, whether it's easy or one of the big boys, look me up. I'll be at one of the campgrounds in the park...just look for the truck below. There's not too many painted like that. Leave a note if I'm not around. I'll have my cell phone, but no computer.

I'm actually leaving here this Sunday to spend my first week of vacation in Ouray. I've never done anything around that town so I'm pretty excited about it.

Hi Byron,

My wife and I are arriving in Zion late Sunday and would like to do a warm up canyon like Yankee doodle on Monday. We haven't done this one before but thought it would be a nice one to start our 2 weeks in the park. We have done Pine creek several times Spry Mystery and Behunin as well. This is our 3rd year doing this and hoping to get our favorite campsite along the Virgin in the south campground. We'll be flying in and sporting a rental so if your around and looking for company, we'll look you up.

Well now, I was there...where were you? Hoping to snag your favorite spot, eh? I wonder how that worked out! I grabbed the first one that opened up! All I did was sleep there anyway. So let us know how it went, and what you did!

Did I not give you our cell?

I ended up going to the hospital after slipping into a pothole in Yankee doodle. My first canyon of our trip and I was planning on heading back home to Canada because I couldn't walk on it.

I just got out!

After convincing the doctor to give me a cortisone shot I was good to go out and play on the sandstone in 48 hrs. The juice saved my vacation. I later had to have orthescopic surgery to remove bone spurs from any ankle.

We are heading back out to Zion next month and if your around and looking for partners, we'll be in a tent down by the river again. We'll be in and out Zion between Aug 3rd to 20th looking for partners.
