Sense I haven't been able to get a hold of one of the Imlay Rope Silo's what is the next best thing for 200 Feet of 9.2MM Rope? I would wait for the Imlay bag but rumor has it they wont be available until Octoberish. I would like to find something for the time being. Any suggestions and why would be great.

Every time I buy a rope at Rec Outlet, they throw in a cheap rope bag. No frills, not durable, black thin nylon (I think). Go pay $10 or less, will get you by until ICG bags are available again.

I purchased my bag from this place:

Not a bad price and I've beatin' the heck out of it and it is still practically brand new. The only problem is, they don't have online ordering yet. You have to call them. Nice customer service though. Hope that helps.

We used a couple of these this week, size medium, for our 100 ft ropes:

Super tough, would easily hold a 150ft rope and smash down nicely in your pack. I really like the ICG rope bags, but they do not compress when stuffed in your pack.

I could not find a small size CMI bag. If one exists, it would likely be a better fit for a 100 footer.

Nothing beats an Imlay rope bag. Tom has sold out of them and packs very quickly the last few years. You would think that he would double or triple the quantities made so this would not happen in the future. Maybe he will chime in and let us know if this is what he is doing or not.
