The truth likely is that people like her do distasteful things in hopes that this sort of situation will get stirred up so that they get to play victim. I work in a place where this behavior is rampant. It's not politically correct to say, but it tends to have certain socio-economic corollaries... I'm aware of the pool that this happened at, and trust me, classy isn't exactly the word I'd use to describe the patrons...

At face value, nothing is wrong with the situation. But if you know the type and can put 2 and 2 together, the picture becomes pretty clear. Stereotypes are often taboo, but they exist based on observations generally. Some people simply have a knack for the distasteful and tacky exercise of their "rights".
Some folks lack the common sense and good judgement required understand the difference between letter of the right, and spirit of the right, or conversely, spirit of the law vs letter of the law if ya know what I mean;)
