Rainbow People Fest Dillon MT

Anybody ever heard of these guys? I meet with the local State Police every now and then for work and recently mentioned to them that I had noticed lots of extra hitchhikers and that these hitchers seem a bit more eccentric looking than I usually see. He told me it was the rainbow people heading to their annual gathering which was near Dillon Montana this year and in fact is just winding down. He told me that they often have some run-ins with the local law enforcement with lots of nudity, drum circles and hippie-wares being traded and they usually set up on National Forest land and don't seem to get along with the Rangers. Looking on the net it appears that at least as of late they seem to try to get along and not have legal conflicts and attempt to clean up after themselves. It seems to be a burning man but without the burning man. I have never heard of it. Utah appears not to have ever been on the list of rendezvous for the group. Many of you are from Utah (UUtah site right?) so perhaps none of you have run into this. I'm just curious if you have even heard of them.

There was a rainbow fest in Utah about 7 or 8 years ago. It was in the Uintas.

FWIW- the national rainbow meeting was held in Utah in 2003 in the Wasatch-Cashe National Forest.
