Does anyone have any recommendations or favorite 14er hikes in Colorado? We are having trouble picking one.
Talk to peakbaggers. They have done them ALL! no... seriously, they have!

It depends on your skill level. They range from class 1 to class 4.
What difficulty range are you looking for?
My favorite is Capitol, but it's one of the harder ones (though still non-technical).
For scenery, the Elk Range, San Juans and Crestones have the best scenery of the 14ers.

Sounds like you're all over it. I second the Maroon Bells as well, the view from up there is exceptional.

Wetterhorn. Reasonably short approach. Nice variety of landscape and climbing surfaces on the way up with a fun but solid class 3 finish. Sneffels and Wilson Peak also offer day hike/climb class 3 opportunities and would be closer to Utah. And to Telluride for that matter. A town worthy of visiting for a cool down beverage or two.

I'd go with the Wetterhorn and the San Juans. Personally, I thought the climb down South Maroon is the least fun of all the 14er routes.
