Took a quick drive to the Sevier (Asay) to camp for the evening in cooler weather and try to catch a fish or two.

Caught a few before sunset, then just as it was getting dark (one last cast?) I hooked into a big fish on my little old Orvis Superfine bamboo rod (7'6" noodle). I had a #16 elk hair caddis on 5x tippet and this is what I finally pulled out in the dark. I was more worried about my rod breaking than I was losing the fish... luckily, neither happened. Big fish in a small stream on a little rod with a tiny dry fly after an awesome sunset. I cracked open a beer, kissed my wife, and slept like a log.

Side note: seems most folks around here seem to consider the Sevier as starting at the confluence of Asay and Mammoth just below Hatch while others call Asay only the section on the west side of the highway before it enters the little tiny stream of the "Sevier" at that point. Thoughts?

Nice work. Where did you camp while down there?
