Pfeifferfourth

So a couple buddies and I decided to escape the valley heat for at least part of the day and decided to go do the pfeifferhorn. None of us had ever done it so it seemed like a good choice. White pine TH was packed at 7:30 and we felt like it would be crowded up top. We shot past several groups early on before the split. After the the RP/WP split, we had it all to ourselves. We got creative and did out own route finding around the west side of Red Pine lake. I think we saved time this way. We ran the flats and downs, hiked the rest. Our car to car time was just under 5 hours, being in no particular hurry. Nice day and a nice peak.

Nice pics. Especially the one of CW ridge. That looks incredible, from Twin Peaks, Sunrise, Dromedary, Superior and Monte Cristo. Really nice skyline pic. :2thumbs:
