My husband and I are doing the Subway from the top to bottom for the first time on Tuesday, July 16. I probably should have looked into this sooner, but we're trying to figure out how to get to the top of the hike after we park our car in the morning. Is anyone doing the hike that day that would like to carpool?
If we are not able to find someone to carpool, what other options are there to get up to the top? Thanks :)
Most people park at the bottom and hitchhike with another group to the top. It's fairly busy enough that it's easy to get a ride. Besides everyone who goes on that road knows what everyone is doing and going , so perhaps they are a bit more trusting.
Um I know there are outfitters in Springdale that do a shuttle and charge like $15 or $20/person for a lift to the top and they leave at decent early times.
And hopefully someone here can chime in and help ya out.

+1 to Hitchhiking! I got a ride from the first vehicle in about 5 minutes.

Awesome! Thank you both tons :) For some reason I was feeling really skeptical about hitchhiking, but now I'm excited to give it a try!

The key is to look like a happy smiling fun guy, not the sad "I am going to kill you" look.

Last year, we hitched a ride. Took us about 30 minutes and 7 or 8 cars before being picked up. I guess we should have left the axe in the Jeep....

Hahaha... I will make sure to leave my threatening looks and sharp axes in the car.... or I'll just show a little leg ;)
