Eric Hawkins, a spokesman for the LDS Church, said it's difficult to provide information on the cases mentioned in the lawsuit because they happened between 28 and 41 years ago and the plaintiffs aren't named.

What good will it do to sue now?

How would they prove something happened that long ago? Are there records of this? It sounds like there are some newspaper articles.

Abuse is always tragic and can take a long time to get over. I don't know how much good it would do to sue an organization 41 years after the fact.
