Heading up to Panguitch Lake area shortly: any recommendations on flies to use? Cheers!

leech patterns in brown or black with your sinking line. Attractor patterns on the surface such as royalwolf, humpys, renegades, and maybe adams.
Minnow imitating zonkers could also be worthwhile there. Plenty of predatory tigers and cutts in that lake. Articulated streamers might get some of the big boys to play as well.
Good luck! Please take a few pics and post a report about your trip.

When fishing the reservoir by float tube and fly i've only had success with a mosquito pattern/small gnat pattern.
If fishing from the shore i use a wooly bugger.

Ps. There are leeches. Last year after wading in about waste deep and fishing for about an hour. I came back out to 4 leeches on my legs! Luckily none made it in to my drawers!

Very windy conditions meant we ended up fishing off the bottom with nightcrawlers and sinkers...tried a variety of lures (spoons, mepps, plugs, etc.) but no joy...still caught eight fish, the largest a 16" rainbow (tasted great!), the others rainbows and cutthroats. My seven-year-old boy was ecstatic with his pair! Enjoyable campfire cookout into the night, with roasted potatoes and bbq'd corn in the husk to go with the trout.

Lime green power bait FTW!
