Mirror Lake Highway/Soapstone

Hey Boglers!

Anyone been up camping and or hiking up in the Uintas from the Mirror Lake Highway side? Planning a camping trip this weekend up that way, just curious what its like up there.

Snow drift going into Bald Mountain trail head. Lots of wind. Hiked into Wall Lake, small snow drifts in trail, big snow drift right before lake. Ice still on water. Nice, short hike. Camped at Cobblerest camp ground, not many bugs. Very nice. Just in case anyone was wondering. I'll put together a trip report another time.

Seriously, Wall still had snow on it??? Thinking of headed there for some fishing next week. Was it breaking up?

Yeah I was really surprised. It won't last long though, it was pretty warm up there and it was very thin. Here's a few pictures.6699766998
