Cyril Despres joins the Yamaha Racing team

Cyril Despres (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cyril-Despres/249628734044?directed_target_id=0) finally announced his choice to joinYamaha Racing (http://www.facebook.com/yamaharacingcom?directed_target_id=0) team this morning in Paris.
In 2014, he will try to win his 6th Dakar, the first one with riding a blue motorbike!

What is it? A Tenere?

Looks like a modified WR 450. Tenere is much bigger.

Since you can't race the Dakar on anything larger than a 450 I would guess it's not a 700!

For years everyone has boasted about how KTM has dominated the Dakar. They have been the only factory supported team (did not support in 2013). Honda hasn't supported a team for years (until 2013), Blue is raced by privateers, and Yellow doesn't show up! KTM has had all the top riders on their equipment. It'll be interesting to see how Depres does on the Yammy. If the bike can hold up to the rigors of the race Cyril will find a way to win again! Roma was out last year... will he be back for KTM? The real test is these two going at it heads up on different bikes... may the awesomest man win.
