Eagle Mtn got the best of me last night. I got bucked off about 5 miles in and still rode the full 20 miles in some pretty extreme pain. This included riding a friends bike up a gnarly section. Surgery to install pins will follow... :facepalm1:

Left thumb extra articular fracture of metacarpal base

So you had to ride Mark's bike up the hard stuff. Sure sounds like him.

I hope your not out the entire season. Looks painful. But you could still ride one handed faster than I ever could with 2. And yes, recover fast.

My evil plan went well. The assistant doctor said I would have to come back Tuesday for surgery. I told him I was headed to Vancouver, BC next Thursday night and then down through Washington/Oregon/Nevada for a 4 day ride.

After overhearing some conversation in the hall, the main doc came in and said that they were going to add me to the schedule for tomorrow. I will come back next Wednesday to get fitted for a special splint that I can ride with. Hot Damn!!! This doctor was a stud! :cool2:

Takes a little getting used to! I am headed in for a follow up with a spare handgrip so they can make me a fancy splint. Headed to Canada for a ride and some business tomorrow night! :o)
