so what are your timepieces that you guys use outdoors? Any resilient models like military watches or special outdoors watches? I'm asking because I would really like a new watch that is resilient enough to withstand the increased wear and tear of outdoors activities. Although my SO wants me to get one of these nice Omega watches (http://www.chrono24.com/en/omega/index.htm), I prefer something practical and sturdy. Any experts out there who could drop some advice? :2thumbs:

If you're considering a $3300 timepiece, I can't possibly comment. Those Omegas are beautiful BTW.

I learned a LONG TIME AGO only to wear one make of watch in canyon country...the $35 Timex from Wallmart.

+1 for the timex.

Spend the G's on something that does more than simply tell you what time it is.

That's what I have, a timex Ironman with a plastic time face. It has lasted by 7 years so far. It goes with me climbing, backpacking, etc. It looks ugly, but it works.
