I'm sure it's a science and all but does anyone have some sound proof that this needs to be done by a shop?

Less I'm wrong they are just holes right?

I meen if there is a formula then it is just the right size holes?

Some do their own fork seals so certainly we would have a place to messure per bike /riders size?

he thing is the guy doing the drilling has no idea of your skill level ? Maybe weight and bike size but???

The reason I ask is: Wed. I have some springs/6 wt oil coming in to set the front forks for my fat ass.
I have one tool ordered for the top and I have not even payed attention to the seals just yet.
But I'm sure I can make a tool for this job.

Garbo? any suspension gurus out there ?

I have 13" +- front and rear I just want to use them so they work right for me.
