Extra Permits for 6: Mystery May 23, Englestead May 27

Going over what permits everyone in our group has, and it looks like we have some permits that we will be calling in and canceling with the Rangers. If anyone on Bogley wants them, I can PM you right when we cancel them so they can be scooped up right away and stay within the Bogley family.

For sure canceling the Mystery permit as that one was for the wrong dates. About 90% that we will cancel the Englestead one as well.

Both permits are for six people.

Good to know! how often have you done this? and does the NP put up any kind of resistance?

Had no idea this was possible. Can they do it even with the Express Permits?

All I know is one time we had a trip planned and the guy who's name was on the permit had a last minute emergency so he called down and had the name changed to anther member of our party. We had no hassles.... and it might have been we just lucked out and a helpful ranger answered the phone that day.

Now I'm sure if this gets abused or becomes a burdened it will soon be an issue with the NPS.
