Interesting...Personally, I've only felt those things fleetingly, when I was younger. I remember an old man telling me, when I was a teenager "It does no good to curse the wind". That was a very profound thing for me.
The "default" mode, I discovered, is patience. The rat race isn't a problem when you realize you really aren't in such a hurry. I shake my head at people who fly by me on the road, seemingly in a hurry to get to the next red light.
In line at a Starbucks, someone behind me breathing down my neck, huffing and puffing...I stand aside and tell them to go ahead of me. This has happened a few times...they look at you kinda strange. If they protest, I'll say "You're obviously in a bigger hurry than I am"...politely, of course. They all take the offer, and I've wondered if they really thought about it after walking briskly to their car, drink in hand.
Yeah, it is water...you just gotta flow with it.
