So we had been planning on doing Behunin for a few weeks. But because of daunting rain storms the day before and that this day was supposed to be worse, we decided to opt out and do one with low flash flood threat if it did happen to rain. So birch was it and we were happy we did that one instead since it rained most of the day over Behunin. Birch is a beautiful canyon and even though we got caught in a hail storm it was still a fun place to be. The hike out though was long and muddy especially the car was waiting at the top instead of the first of the road. north fork was good and dry when we left but was supper slick on the way back. enough so that we had to abandon one vehicle for the night. but still good times had by all.
P.S. before anyone gets after me no we didn't all have helmets and I'm giving myself a slap on the wrist for that
