Wow that's interesting.
Not good for some but as much as Italian's hate Americans:ne_nau:.

But this could be a very good thing for Husky fans.

I was talking to the Husky rep at my BMW dealer today (while I got knobbies for my F800GS's Utah summer) and he is afraid KTM will focus the Husky line on race oriented only and drop the dual sport bikes which he sells the most of.

One thing KTM does well is they sure put out plenty a bike for everone:2thumbs:
I would not even blink an eye on say so.
Look at all the models KTM has:ne_nau: Then think about it. These guys have a bike for everything. Including a new line or two with other brands:lol8:

Right, so why continue the husky dual sport line? That's what he was worried about, KTM already has that covered.

MONEY:lol8:

Look- You do not have to have a superior product to get rich, Just a better marketing plan.....

And KTM is the only one investing in the sport on a very big scale while all the rest are pulling tent stakes........

We have seen this before with big oil, Railroads, Steel ect.

It was not to long ago Honda tried the same thing and did very well with just Honda.
They put so much monies into racing (MOTO) that that they held the market for sales for a very long time but in the end people got smart and said HEY that's great for the pro's but what about me?
Then started the I don't want a Honda cause they are basically full of it.

Don't get me wrong but Honda has always been a very reliable bike.

So here comes KTM with a marketing plan that basically says ( RACE READY) and bam the orange punch has been spilled.

I bought into it and love my KTM. And this was after a Honda and a Yamaha.
Just saying.

Suzuki is in deep shit right now and I think KTM will never touch them- Why?

It'll be interesting, that's for sure. I know a lot of guys are hip on the Terra TR 650: http://husqvarna-motorcyclesna.com/product.php?pid=64&cid=24#

KTM owns Husaberg too, so they've got their hands full, but damn do they make a lot of bikes and machines in general. L

As an American I see nothing but rightous shit coming from this.

On a bit of side note: Nothing wrong with Suzuki before I get flamed.
At this point and having owned an XR650R I think I'd take the DRZ 400 first.:lol8: If I had to do it again.

If they follow the American business model they will eliminate 'duplication' and reduce staff. I hope they are better than that.

Interesting...

I found these spy pics. Looks very like the new 2014 Husaberg with different paint and stickers.

I just wonder which technology they will use the most...I guess bits and pieces. Most of the Husaberg stuff is now from KTM.

I think you already know due to the financial probs. of one.

Wonder if Honda will bail out Suzuki? Now there is something to ponder on .

Husqvarna does have a much stronger brand than Husaberg. It was kind of an obvious choice. Husaberg has made some strides over the last few years though, but Husqvarna has so much more history.

I've only owned one Husky in my life.
I was back about 1975 and i think it was an 73 390wr moroon tank with the mirror badge, I was like 15 and about 125 wet.
THat bike scarred the living shit out of me from day one and my parents helped me about as fast as they could to sale it.
not to sure of the years here but I'm sure I was way in over my head.

Some things never change.

Don't give up on nothing yet bro.

They are all showing signs of 2-t fuel injection now days.:2thumbs:

I'd love to own one myself if that is indeed the case.

Just the bigger ones that are more trail friendly. :)
