There was 5 of us in our group today. We rode several trails. North 40, maverick, ez, long branch, lazy trail, killer b, and bar b trail. Killer b was a double black diamond which I rode alone and had the group pick me up at arches national park.

I ran out of water, but I had a lot of ice that wasn't melting fast enough to drink.

How was Ahab? I'll heading to Moab in a few weeks and was thinking of trying it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cd2la7umgu0 Amasa Back trail Moab. I'm sure most mountain bikers know this spot. Most walk this including myself, REDFOX decided not to walk.

We accessed the lower part of Captain Ahab off of Amasa back. We rode other trails above and around the Amasa back trail and hit this lower section which ties back in the Amasa near the stream crossing at the end of our ride. I did like the trail because it had several technical sections. I would like to ride the upper portion sometime.

The bottom half that we rode reminded me a lot of the lower single track section of porcupine rim. Lot of technical up and downs with cliff exposure. The difference to me is all this trail was ride able unlike porcupine rim. You get enough speed on the down you can go up the other side. There was section on the trail that has sign's posted to get off and walk your bike, I'm not really sure why? So if you like the porcupine rim lower single track you will like this i would think......:ne_nau:
