That would be me!
Have a serious interest in canyoneering but as a swamp dwelling downeaster in America's appendage - Florida - I have logged more time with alligators and sharks than deep crevices - well, sinkholes maybe?

going to Moab for some solo time and would really like to get intro'd to canyoneering. I walked through some easy easy slot canyons near Escalante a year ago but minimal scrambling and non-technical. I did some repelling while in the Navy while on loan with Marines some time back but nothing more challenging than not killing myself in training.

If anyone could tolerate a willing and - hopefully - able neophyte to induct me into the joys and technicals of lower tier canyoneering I would be eternally grateful and happy to run you down some amazing swamp creeks in central Florida in return.

im 52 - fit athletic adventurous but respectful and attentive of those who know their craft - I'm an international airline pilot so I can listen and follow direction while experiencing new stuff.

If no one can hook up with you. I would recommend deserthighlights to take you out. It would be worth the coin.
