Have 4 days in Moab in late April. Want to get in as much as I can - hike, river run, intro to canyoneering - afraid I seem tardy in campsites ( yea - newbie mistake ) - does anyone have a recommendation for tent camping near Moab - will have a 4x4 and tent - suggestions?

Thinking of river fun as well as hikes - but also as a Floridian I am used to swamp environments - does anyone offer an intro level canyoneering class?

suggested hikes welcome - no technical skill other than repelling when I was in Navy but willing and eager to learn!

thanks.,

Post this in the canyoneering section and you will get a bunch of help. You also might ask if anyone would let a noob tag along and you might find a willing mentor.

This was our camping trip in Moab last week, maybe you can add some of these activities to your list
