From what I've gathered, the Pipe Dream mountain bike trail in Moab is a relatively new trail. From what I rode, I really liked it. It was all singletrack, had just the right amount of technicality in the trail, and it was right there on the edge of town.

Unfortunately my rear derailleur crapped out on me and I had to turn around with only a couple of miles down. The total trail one way is @ 4.7 but most riders will start at the Northern trailhead, ride South and then return.

Can't open the map?

It's set to public, are you viewing from a mobile device? If so I'm going to add a link so you can click on it and will open in your device's native map app.

Until I get that done, copy the link between the "Savedmap" tags and paste in your mobile browser.

Or, while on the thread in Tapatalk, go to the options and "Web View"

I haven't ridden it yet. Why the 'Advanced Technical' rating. Looks pretty buttery-smooth in your photos.

I really don't know. Personally i thought it was easier than the Slickrock trail. Maybe because of some of the sharp turns and exposure. Or maybe the trail makers put that up hoping to boost up some of the hype.

Interesting. I guess I should add it to my bucket list but, at the top of my list to ride next is 7-Up / Bull Run.

Nice video...but what happened to your hair...i been out of commission for a while, so maybe its old news, but dude, there just aren't many of us left....so will you do this again. Went to ride it in January, but had too much snow on it, heading down this weekend...so I don't want to waist my time on no fun trails...lol

Many tight turns with pretty close exposure, not necessarily of the deadly variety but more the "seriously mess you up" variety. Lots of power ups with some loose-ish rock stacks. Good fun. Probably more upper-intermediate level trail in my opinion.

The Pipeline trail is lower on the hill from Pipe Dream and sometimes gets confused.

The Moab Rim trail is higher up on top of the plateau but doesn't connect, and is not visible.

Thanks, Neil. That makes more sense.

Wrong trail this is up on the hill on the North side of town. It is up above Super 8 motel area. Saw some guys up there riding a trail. When you look close it really stands out.

Hmmm, well the Slickrock trail is just up on top, across the street from the Super 8 but you wouldn't be able to see it from there. Not sure.

Wait, where does Porcupine Rim come out?

It's not porcupine or slick rock. Was there the other day and saw guys riding on it again.

Channel 5 news just showed a video that showed the trail I am talking about. They were discussing upheaval dome.

Can you post a Google Earth coordinate so we can see exactly what you are talking about?

Looks like a sweet trail, thanks for sharing. Is it non-motorized only?

Sombeech

I do believe it's non motorized. It looks like either foot traffic or mountain bikes, but it was really built for bikes in mind. Equestrians are asked to stay off of the trail too.
