Unfortunately some of these laws were created in an attempt to stop the ongoing activity :lol8:

I don't think that any of these laws apply to San Francisco.

That list doesn't have stopping people from marriage just because they choose a different partner...

Some of these laws seem reasonable and not "stupid". For example, why are the following "stupid"?

In Chino, California, testing a nuclear device within city limits is prohibited.

In California, it’s a crime not to relinquish the phone in an emergency situation.

In California, it’s illegal to hunt with a crossbow while drunk.

In California, release of multiple foil or mylar balloons is against the law.

In California, hunting from an airplane or powerboat is illegal.

You may not agree with some of them (for example, the hunting one-many people disagree with this), but there are good reasons for some of the above laws.

The nuclear one is probably old, but not unwarranted. Before lead shielding and other protections of many nuclear devices, leaks within city limits were a valid concern. Would you want initial testing of new nuclear devices performed in your neighborhood? Most of the time, obviously nothing would happen, but it still doesn't seem unreasonable to play it safe and have initial test run outside city limits, at least for many nuclear devices.

Multiple releases of balloons along coastlines does kill many sea animals. Even if people don't care, it doesn't seem to be a stupid law.

Isn't dumb California redundant?

In the State of California, {snip} ....

In England we have an expression: Only in America.

(Mind you, we have some strange laws here too!)
