Some of the boyfriends and husbands in that video need a good kick to the nuts for all the gun safety violations I witnessed. There is no excuse for that type of behavior and this video does nothing to help in the fight to keep firearms.

Yeah, well...just bear in mind that these guys were filming this because they knew exactly what was going to happen...and then post it on the Youtube. Most of them are probably young and stupid. It is pretty funny, but at the same time not too cool...but it hardly gives that moron Bite Me a pass. Shotguns, unless it's something small, like a .410, have quite a kick to them.

Anyway, it sucks for me here in Colorado because these liberal freaks we elected here are completely out of their minds. The stuff some of them are saying makes Biden look like a rocket scientist. How the hell is it that mentally ill people can become lawmakers? That's where you need a friggin' background check.

The wmmw report was interesting. It paints a pretty grim picture for women. I wonder if I could draw a similar conclusion based on some other item being purchased? I understand that guns are and have been used to murder but I have a hard time believing that, in the heat of the moment when the murder is committed, some other tool or weapon might not be used. No gun so I will use a knife, no knife so I will use a brick.... I presume particularly in domestic violence that the crime happens and is not premeditated, otherwise you would just leave the relationship. So it is more a tool of opportunity than anything.

These arguments seem so related to the suicide discussions. I don't think I would ever believe a suicidal person would not have taken their own life if they didn't have a gun.

I guess it all relates to who and how much you are willing to trust people to do the right thing. In my mind and as an american citizen the presumption has always been that we are innocent law abiding citizens who are not murderers until we do something and are convicted of doing that act. Until then we should be trusted to purchase or use tools, in this case firearms.
