This is more-or-less a test upload, since it is my first on this forum. This is my home from mid-May through mid-October: East Butte lookout in the Deschutes NF, Oregon (I live IN the lookout, not IN the tent!).

That's sweet! So how long were your lookout rotations? 2weeks? Cause here in St. George, Utah they would switch out the guys for. 2 weeks at a time between the 3 different lookout spots for our area.

Did u get satellite tv too? One of our lookouts did...now that's the life! Haha

5-on/2-off is what is advertised, but sometimes lack of relief personnel results in longer times without a break (like 13-on/1-off). No SAT-TV, but good wireless internet, Sirius-XM, and ham radio reception. I am totally off-grid, relying on three separate solar systems and a Honda generator for electric power. Heat, refrigeration, and lights are propane. There is no running water and the outhouse is 60 yards from the lookout tower.

The views are AWESOME!

Mind blowing...! That is very attractive location and scene. The capture of this this moment is your luckiness and it would be memorable time of your life. I also like to go to the place like mountains, hills and also like tracking. It is my hobby to face challenges in life.
