The most popular thread on my family website is our "Random Thread" where you just share any random thing you like or that happened recently. I don't recall Bogley having had one, so I figured I would start one here.

Here is my random story I wanted to share:

I get a call from a single elderly lady in my neighborhood / ward. She tells me that she knows my Dad is good with computers and is wondering if any of his skill rubbed off on me. I told her "a little". I agreed to go help her with her problem. She rotated her computer clockwise and couldn't figure out how to un-rotate it.

This is the some what awkward conversation we had:

Woman I am helping: Wow! You seem like you are really great with computers.
Me: I'm okay with them. (I say because I am already very busy and don't want to become her free IT guy)
Woman I am helping: What do you do for a living?
Me:<awkward pause> I work with computers.

It was pretty uncomfortable.

Sadly it was in person. I told her it was going to be "CTRL + Shift+ Up" or "CTRL + Alt + Up" but she couldn't figure it out. So I did it in person.

I went to an Appple Store today for the first time. I really was impressed by their service. It was certainly the best service I have ever received in a retail store.

For the record, I have had my Macbook for about a month and at this point I can't see why anyone likes it. There are about a million things I prefer about Windows over OSX and Android over iOS. The only thing I really like about the Mac over any Windows laptop I have had is how it physically looks. I think the Macbook has a great form factor and that is about it.

Yikes! I've been working some long hours on a side project too. I crashed on the couch today after too many continuous almost all nighters.

I started to see flying rubber, at first I thought it may be something I was running over. You know, you never think it's you....has to be something else. It became apparent I was seeing my tire disintegrate. I pulled over, never really noticing anything different about how the trailer felt. Being dual axel, that doesn't really surprise me.

Granted it was no suitcase of thousands in cash but my husbands wallet that was lost a month ago in Zion was found. Not a dollar missing! Been hiding out near our camp spot in watchmen's for several weeks. Maybe a critter thought to stash it?

I got an email that I had been "poked" by Facebook. What is that? I don't like being poked in real life. What makes anyone think that poking anyone for real or for fake is a good thing. That should not happen....ever..... like never wearing underwear on the outside of your jeans... ever. Thank you, that is all. I feel better.

Years ago I was a higher-up for a company that made all the stuff seminar speakers would sell at their seminars- audio tapes, CD's, videos, printed materials, etc. I learned pretty quickly that very, very few of the seminar presenters actually did what they preached (or ever did). They were only making money from selling their seminars and packets, not from what they were teaching others to do. Oh, maybe they made a few bucks from flipping a house once but, then suddenly they are an expert? The seminar circuit for the most part is a huge racket.
