Hi again, a trip report from January 9th (yep, I typed it incorrectly in the title of this TR), when I visited the Coyote Buttes South from the Cottonwood Cove trailhead. A remote area, for tourists including myself quite difficultly accessible because of the sand- and dirt roads to get there, which makes travelling with a rental slightly more 'dangerous' (not being insured anymore).
However, this time luck was on my side, I got the best rental car possible for this job in my opinion (a Jeep Grand Cherokee) and the sand was quite solid (damp from melted snow and maybe deeper in the sand even frozen). That made my trip doable I decided, and it was a fantastic day.
The drive to the trail head was relatively easy, no big problems occurred. After organizing my gear I got out and followed the trail 2 ladies had taken some minutes earlier.

After arriving at the first group of buttes, I was impressed quickly, and started wandering around through the shapes and curves, slowly progressing but enjoying the views and scenery around me.

Once started, view after unbelievable view presented itself to me, keeping me busy for hour after hour.

I tried to keep the sun in my back during the day, to not be bothered to much while taking pictures. That matched a perfect route through the groups of teepees.

What makes this area superb in my opinion is the way you can see everything around you. On the one hand there are fantastic views and panorama
