Hi all of you, last January I spent time in Utah and quite a lot of time in Zion, and since it has become tradition for me to hike Angels Landing Point every visit to Zion, so did I do this time. Actually it was the first hike directly after arrival. Not really that special, however what made it special was the fact that I had the top all to myself. No other people/ tourists. That combined with the fact that I really like some of my pictures, a short trip report. Some of the pictures have been 'welded/ glued' together to make an even wider panorama shot. With quite good results I think.
I arrived the afternoon of December 27th, Zion had pretty fresh snow, and I decided to hike up Angels Landing Point.

The path was doable, a little slippery every now and then, until I reached Walters Wiggles. Slippery as hell. I put my micro-spikes on my shoes, and no problem whatsoever anymore. It was quite beautiful at Scout Lookout, chatted a bit with some tourists, and carried on.

With my spikes on and a firm grip to the chain, climbing up wasn't really difficult and/ or dangerous. I could follow footsteps from earlier visitors, what also helped finding my way.
At the top a fantastic view... and nobody else besides myself...
63470
This picture is a combination of panorama-shots and is something about 240 degrees view. To bad it is shown only in this small...
It is hard to find big irregularities, even at quite a zoom.
I spent some time looking around and taking pictures, enjoying the energy of Zion.
After some time I started descending. No problems, apart from having an overdose of fantastic views...
63471
I felt quite welcome, arriving back in Zion.
