Snowshoeing Trails Near Cedar City

I'm pretty new to this snowshoeing sport. I'm located in Cedar City and am looking for great places to stomp around. I want to stay away from the Cedar Breaks area (i have an over active sled dog that is not allowed in the Monument). Just looking for anything from a quick few hour trips, to half day trips. Any thoughts would help. Thanks

There is an are on Cedar Mtn at the Deer Valley turnoff up U-14 that is section off for shoe shoeing and cross country skiing only. No snowmobiles allowed. We were just up there riding today and the signs and ropes are still there
