Look at the moon tonite if clear skies permit. That's Jupiter practically hugging it.

I heard about it in the news this morning...they said 9:30 (one hour from now) will be the optimal time to view it.

Beautiful display down here last night in Louisiana. In addition, there was a huge ring around the moon as well.

It just looked like a huge, bright star right next to the moon...kinda underwhelming, but neat nevertheless. The big thing they're saying is in November, when this comet may be an even bigger spectacle than Hale Bopp was, like way bigger. It remains to be seen though, because they say it may crash into the sun.
