Garbanzo
01-03-2013, 06:59 PM
We are planning another ride in the St George area on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (Feb 7,8,9).

I will be traveling there with one other rider at this point. We will hook up with Mtn Seeker on Thursday sometime Mid-day.
We are hoping to have at least 4 riders coming from up North. We are trying to get NelsonCCC off the Mtn Bike, Softball, Football, Hockey, Soccer, Waterpolo, Shuffle Board court so he can join us.

If you are interested in riding any or all days, let us know.

Trail details yet to be determined.

Moab Mark, are you getting this? Get your crew together.

Let me tell you Resspecialized about a ride I did with these guys up at American Fork.
They are all crazy that is for sure BUT: I was on my mx I bought from Fourtycal and I think it was one of his first rides on his new WR.
I had no light and acca and Garbo and Fourty all had a light and walked my sorry ass of the top of a mountain with the head lamps and it was good.

These boys may make you ride harder than ever but will never let you down.....

Best bunch of off roaders I have ever met hands down. Or lights down either way bro.

Roll the dise and ride with such a group of hard core riders and you will never regret it.
Trust me LMAO

After all it is the good times that can't be remembered!!!!!!!!
But the hard times are never forgot.

LETS RIDE

Bottom line is you could not find bettter dudes to ride with if you hired them!
So get the frig over it and get your bike down here and ride bitch.LOL

Boots are covered at this point.:)

You know size pending and all.

If anyone can help me get my son into a small bike I might trade an XR 650R for a YZ :facepalm1: God I have to say it don't I 250T smokie.
Unless someone has a better Idea? Problem is I let him ride the 450 yz and he just reved it up and down in first gear and thinks he's ready to ride.
Maybe a 125 is what I need. He is an adult with no clue.

And this is going to be a long process.

They are great up to about 55 but burn out way fast. They on the other hand turn and burn very nice. Hence track bikes.
With the spirit that says lets ride bro and lets ride right now.

I wat one but I want a 300cc

I had a track bike and by the time I de -tuned and made it a trail bike is was not cheap.
I have a trail bike now that still kicks ass in the desert and there is no looking back now.
Thanks to all of your suggestions. wide 6 is the snizzle.

BUT a trials tire on a 2-t at say Moab could be a blast if? you have the tank for it.

Mtnseeker1

I've road the red one and it's ok but the green one does have some big step ups I noticed before I turned around cause I was by myself.
nelsonccc might know were that Cholla Single track is.
It must come off the Cholla race course area.
I'll get out and look around some more this weekend when the temps are back up to the upper 50's and put my ride back together.

Mtnseeker1
01-15-2013, 01:24 PM
If by chance on the Thursday you come down you only have say 1-2 hrs to ride a have a single that you might enjoy.
It's the same one we took Redfox and his brother inlaws on back at thanksgiving.

I'm hoping to swing a get you up to Lavirkin single weather pending. It's a great ride all and all but a bit short and if the river is high and muddy we should skip this one.
THis will also depend on rider skill because of the danger factor. A great ride but not for everybody.

Just some thoughts and it is your ride and I will go wherever happily.

Everytime I see a two damb smokie I get this 1through 5 felling like right now. YEEEEh hAAAW

Hope you don't get to excited if I speed Shift?

I'm not supposed to do it to mine but shit happens.

Everyass says don't do that and always use your clutch with 4 strokes.
I say what ever lifts your skirt baby.

Myself? a lutch is for starting and messing. Not sure it even mattters this day and age with the bikes we ride unless you stomp 2 gears at one time climbing in a matter of panick. Or vise verse a

But then again I am an iget and hammer down because it is fun.

Mtnseeker1
01-25-2013, 03:10 PM
Careful now I'm about to give acca a set of getty ups for his little Husa.
If they fit. Part 26-027 one mild and one wild plug and play by cicass. They are for 250/350sxf Kattoms but says they work for some Husa's as well just not sure on that one. All they really do is change the timing curve some.
And if they don't work for him maybe someone else?
I tried to get them to work for my bike and nowhere in the instructions did I get a clue till I looked at the outside package LOL.

Makes me wonder if they have this for my bike? Guy I bought my bike from did not have a clue and neither do I.

What? Seems not that long ago that the group went on while you went back to the truck 'cause it was too tough? Pretty short memory. No-one in our group could keep up with Jarrod. I ride with him all the time for the last 6 years and I can't even hold a candle to his skills.

I haven't been on a bike in 6 months and still know I would be waiting for you at every stop. And trust me, mountain biking is waaay harder than dirt biking and that's what I do three times a week. SOOOOO, before you start talking trash you might want to remember that we've ridden with you and waited for you......and waited........and waited......

However I'd do the same again if that is what it takes.

I have a lot of fun riding with friends But I sure don't want to hold anyone back from having fun when they have come so fare to ride.

Looking forward to riding with nelsonccc it has been what 18 months.
Should be lots of fun.
Sure hope Jarrod can make this one also. It's been what Logandale? Since we rode together last I believe.
Dang almost 2 years.

Wow 1 BRP, One YZ450 and a KTm 500xc-w since then.
I'm not sure if I got the bugs worked out yet maybe a bike or two from now.
Or not
I'll just keep riding until I get er figured out I guess.

Hell I know I'll try and talk Garbo into a trade for his YZ t-2 for the BRP!!!!

Not sure he'll go for it but it would make for an even Keel.

Oh what the hell maybe? we will get close enough we can do some dicing on trails we don't no.

Mtnseeker1
01-25-2013, 09:01 PM
I loved that 5-7 mile down towards the farm house section with nothing that stayed the same and then there was the section after the fast s turn by the yucca tree that opend up just before the lunch area in the granites rock boulders good Fun crack the throttle stuff.
It had enough of everything to keep the wind in your sails and some tight fun stuff ass well.
Bought as good as it gets in the low desert. GReat stuff if you ask me.

Funny seems like a life time ago to me

.63114

But the ride is what is important and having fun must take a second I guess?:ne_nau:

Brotha you will always wait for me cause I suck.
I have got much better since we last rode togehter but I have rode two years and I smoke and I drink and I don't work out. But I love to ride and try and chase you all down the best I can.

It's good as it gets for me bro so FRIGGIN BRING IT and we can have a blast.
If you can do just that?

Dude I just want to ride.
Most of you have rode your whole life.
I'm just and old fart with tons of arthritis and bad lungs but love to try and chase you all down if you will put up with my sorry ass.

For me it's not a compotition it's a form of saving myself so ride with me or not I really don't give a shit it is all up to you if your up to riding or not.

But if you want to judge then I say follow me on the trails I know and then judge.
Lord knows I have followed on nothing but what you know.

Don't matter to me but I will come ride nelson hills with ya if your up for it and we can put it together.
After last time I bet there are only three riders that would say that from the last group.
And I bet you could name them.

I had a great time down there and would love to do it again myself with high hopes that Jarod would ride with us.
Personally I think you guys rock but riding is just that when your having a great time and that is what it is all about

But if your up for it and care to chase me on trails you surely have road before but are not sure I guess we can do that too.

OR Back the hell off and show me

Looks like I'm not going to make it. Too much work and there's a pretty solid chance I'll be either in Chicago or Pennsylvania that weekend for work. Sucks! I have a text into Jarrod to see if he still wants to go. As soon as I hear something I'll post here.

What are the chances of moving it to another weekend? Or doing it again later in the month? If we can get it solid and on the books early enough I can plan work around it.

So Jarrod is all bent out of shape. He saw all this trash talking and wants to ride. I'm supposed to work Friday, all day Saturday, and Sunday to meet the deadline. How would you guys feel about meeting us in logandale for a Friday or Sunday ride? Maybe a Saturday ride where I could be back in Vegas by 3 or so? I just don't think I can get away long enough to get to Utah for an all day ride.

What do you foolz think? And who is really coming/committed to this thing?

Nelson Hills is fine. Just have to get up early Friday. At least we get away from a possible storm. Wherever the weather is good, that's where we will be. :banghead:

Is there an Ihop breakfast prior to the drive? Loads of carbs and yuk yuk?

This will be fun.
It has been a long time since we rode together like this.

Nelson hills rocks compared to Logandale.

Got a buddy with a stock tank on a 01 kx 2 smokie So? How much gas do I need to help carry?

Seems like it was about 47 miles but I can't remember for sure.

Sad part is they are ok guys and why they bailled last time ???
Guess some need control over fun?

And the worst part is they would ride circles around me for a short period of time.

One of these times I would like to try to get you boys up to that waterfall trail. (La Virkin Single track).
I think you would like it but it is short and would work best on a thursday afternoon if coming down for a FRI-SAT ride.
Keep it in mind as it is a fun trail but over by Zion and is not to long. 2-3 hrs is all.
I have another single in the scrub I took Redfox and his Brother inlaws on. A short but fun one that is mostly 2nd and 3rd gear stuff with some hills and lots of turns. Again another shorty 1-2 hrs.

Can't waite till the snow comes off AFC for some single in the trees.
I got to some time try this Bear lake area stuff also. And maybe a dash of Strawberry trails.
It was 68* in Mesquite today and I'm already thinking about the pines and Aspins.

Nobody is mad about any of this. Your friend is a very nice guy. We just don't want to get way out at Nelson and have to worry about anyone turning back. I wouldn't worry about any of this, let's just ride.

Yep, the issue with Nelson Hills is the sheer quantity of singletrack out there. It all crosses all over the place so it would be very difficult to have someone want to turn back successfully. If they are savvy with a GPS then they could find their way by simply angleing and following track back to the truck. But there are spots where you could easily end up in over your head if you turned the wrong way. Still a few trails out there that I avoid.

Did Jarrod talk to you guys about coming sooner? He doesn't need any beauty sleep so he wants to see if we can start sooner. He wants to get in two laps......:hail2thechief:

A bit cooler but will still feel great for you guys coming from the big freeze. about 50* for sat. and I'm guessing about mid to upper 50's for fri.
Friday afternoon chance of rain and just cloudy from what I can see.
But :ne_nau:

Is showing 50% chance of rain in Vegas on Friday. Nelson and Jarrod are all in, so we will have to cross our fingers. If Saturday rains in St George, we can head South again. Maybe Mesquite. Only if we have to. I'd like to ride Warner and the strip.

The nice thing about wether foreblasters is they always go heavy handed to make it look bettter when they screw it up.:2thumbs:( better heavy handed than to get caught with their pants down).
We may see something Fri late but I'm not impressed thus far. But then again if you go to 6-7 foreblasters none are saying the same thing.
And just like up there they never get it right down here either.:lol8:
But you may want to bring a ragg and tear offs just in case.

Besides a little tacky sand and no DUST is never a bad thing in the desert.:D Trust me.

Desert Clay is another story all together LMAO.

Plan for the worst and prey for the best.

It will be a blast either way!

It is a shame that you're not down here now Yesterday , today , and tomarrow.

50% chance of rain in vegas just means it'll sprinkle somewhere. It'll be cooler and probably windy but I doubt we'll get rain. THOUGH......the last time I thought that Jarrod and I ended up practically snowmobiling out there since it dropped like 4 inches of snow.

Mtnseeker1
02-06-2013, 06:34 PM
:lol8: Aint that the truth. One day I'll eat that one but in the dez 50% meens sprinkles in the late afternoon:lol8:
But then again they said 30% chance while it had rained for 4 hrs. LMAO
They don't know shite.
Be prepared for the worse and prey for the best it's all good either way.

The last time I did this ride I was right there with acca's dad and I tell you what? I can only hope I can do this ride at that age.
That old boy rocks period.:stud:
I watched him go done twice on the first hill climb and several times after that and not once did I hear him complain or cry and I know he may have been a bit in over his head but dang what a trooper. He stayed with the ride every inch of it. Super hard core in my book.
Something that I will never forget as long as I ride. And most likely for ever.

Kind of like the all you can eat sea food dinner on the way out.

I aint never run out of gas but have had tube issues before and gas issues once.
Bad feeling when your still 20 miles from your truck and researve should be good for 10 maybe 15. By yourself with a blown out knee and a kickstart bike.
As long as you don't kill the motor and do everything to conserve fuel and park on downhill options LMAO it can be done.
About 5 times I thought about hitting the button on the spot. Bad day and you should never ride alone.

Be very careful if you ever need to do this on a BRP cause when the light up to life they will jump out from under you.
