Time to get our annual best of 2012 thread going...
The rules.... only one picture per post and no more then 5 pictures from any one person. The pictures must have been taken in 2012. The pictures do not have to be yours, but proper photo credit must be given and you must have permission to post the photo if they are not yours.
And while it is not required it's always nice if you post a little bit of info along with your picture. What, where when, who and how...

I have been blown away by my first year canyoneering. I have seen beauty beyond what I imagined and had so much fun. My first year ends and the next will be even better!
These are just a few memorable pics out of the hundreds I've taken. First two are in East BlueJohn, third is Orderville, forth Upper Chute and finally East Lep.

Hey Slot Machine! Thank you :) I don't care what anyone says. Pine Creek is one of the most beautiful slots I have been in. It truly is a very photogenic slot canyon. Even I, with my simple point and shoot camera, can sometimes get some decent pictures in there hehehe. We are truly lucky to have slots like Pine Creek in our midst. Accessible, technical, short and sweet!
WOW! Those are some awesome pictures Shooter McCanyon! :2thumbs:

To me it seems that rule is designed to increase the total reply count, and little else......If I am disqualified over it......then so be it......
I figured one post with five pics is a lot more clean and tidy than five posts with one picture. But, like you guys are fond of saying..........YMMV
Iceaxe
12-31-2012, 07:33 AM
The one picture per post is so the pages will load in a reasonable amount of time. If everyone sticks 5 large pictures in every post those with slow computer connections lose interest.

@canyoncaver (http://www.bogley.com/forum/member.php?u=18101) -What kind of headlamp are you using that is so visible during the day?
The light is a Stenlight S7. It is a small, very bright higher-end caving light. It has sort of beome the standard for expedition cavers in the U.S. because you can get several days off of one LiIon battery. The light looks really bright in the photo because I took it with a Lumix TS3 which seems to have a star filter built-in.

I did my first canyoneering in 2012 - Pine Creek, Subway (sort of canyoneering), and Neon (only bottom up, but others were canyoneering. All well known, so I've tried to pick 2 less commonly posted viewpoints of the Subway and Golden Cathedral, but I couldn't resist the standard Golden Cathedral shot because I like the way the sun illuminated the canyoneer.
