What was your 2012 highlight?

I'd have to say doing the Darby Ice Cave was the highlight of my year that was filled with highlights. That place was just so awesome I'll never forget it. It's located in the Teton's and you enter one side of the mountain through the Darby Ice Cave and exit 8 hours later on the other side of the mountian out the Darby Wind Cave. Thanks Price! Thanks Sam!

But without a doubt the best thing that happened to me in 2012 was the vision in my left eye was restored in April to a reasonable level. Some of you might know I went blind in my left eye in 2011. After six surgeries and having to lay face down for two weeks I finally have a reasonable amount of vision back in my left eye (20/40). Some of the surgeries preformed on my eye didn't even exist 5 years ago, Ya gotta love modern medicine.

WOW!! WAY TO GO SCIENCE!!! (Quote from Jesse Pinkman, Breaking Bad) I lost hearing in both ears back in April, which took about 4 months of slow recovery so I can appreciate your excitement over having bodily functions restored which were once lost.

My 2012 highlight was probably last June when the wife and I went on a week long trip to Cancun...2nd honeymoon. :2thumbs:

I've been working my butt off this year...we had a big hailstorm in June that created tons of work for me. As a result of that, I didn't get to come out to Utah this fall like usual. Back in May, however, I did some backpacking and went on a houseboat trip with 22 other people at the time of the eclipse.

Most of them were completely out of their element...so I became a sort of "God"...leading them thru West Canyon, up and around obstacles and such. Their lack of experience and helplessness was a bit annoying, but it's good to be a hero every now and then...I shook my head a lot, but had a great time.

Mine was probably competing in the BMW GS Trophy Cup in Moab. It was my first time and a good learning experience.

EXCELLENT on the eyesight....congrats!

Tough to say..... Watching my kids excel at sport throughout the year brings me more joy than anything. I look forward to just going to their events and sitting back, taking some photos and basking in what appears to be their enjoyment in the competition. Even though I was not there, my son is in Phoenix right now, he scored the game winner with 5:15 left on the clock to beat the LA Jr. Kings on Thursday night.... When I saw the goal go up on the live feed, the World could have balanced on my pride. But, these are not so much a singluar event.....(but gives me a chance to post some pics of them...:haha:)

Single event, maybe going to Cancun with the family.... We have been doing it yearly and it seems to be an event that both parents and kids look forward to each year.....
