This is what I pulled out of U-Turn Friday afternoon.... Over 60' of excessive webbing.

On the up-side it looks like I will not be buying any new webbing in the foreseeable future. On the down-side the quick-links used were these monster 1/2 things that weighted about a pound each. I tossed those in the nearest dumpster.

We did boltergiest the other day and there was screw gate locking biner on the last webbing rap hooked on next to 2 quick links. Somebody was really nervous about something.

I can see why this would need to be cut out. There aren't nearly enough knots in the webbing.

Where in U-Turn did it come from? Where does it look like most traffic is going for the last rappel?

I cut the webbing out of the monolith rappel. The bolts by the rock and the head of the canyon appear to be the spots getting the action for the final rappel.

And Little Cottonwood Canyon is here for some fine Salt lake City bootie to put a smile on oldno7
