I had talked to REDFOX about trying to get in a short ride before the feast on Thanksgiving but somehow I knew that the traffic and drive would make that a bust. He lives up in that great white north of the Northern Utah.
So we got together on Black Friday for some fun in the desert with the first part of the ride in Warner.
The second part was after a quick bite for lunch and a bit of a move to an area north of Black Rock for some single track action desert style.
I had brought a friend and REDFOX had brought two brother in laws along for the days adventure.
The day started with some direction mishaps but was quickly ironed out.
We headed to the big wash just east of Fort Pierce and followed it for a spell heading south then picked up a small wash than turned into a single and back to a small wash to a big wash to the whooped out trail that headed back down Fort Pierce wash trail and made a loop of it.
It was Very fun and very dusty with the 5 of us.
I thought it was great but then I was leading.:lol8:
We had no flats or carnage but had some carb issues that kept things interesting for the kick starters.
After lunch we hit some single track that is pretty easy going with lots of ups and downs and turns and some fun little canyons and some trails on the edge of the Virgin River for the scenic part.
For some reason that trail seemed to me to be way more dusty.
I was riding clean up at the rear incase of any miss turns and my Friend Butch lead the way.
It was a great day with about 20 miles in the morning and another 25 or so in the afternoon.
I think everyone had a good time but with some frustration for bike starts.
We really need a good dose of rain down here again.
The cool thing is one of his brother in laws lives up around the corner and that means another riding buddy.:2thumbs:
