So, I'm in the process of trying to book a campsite for Joshua Tree National Park, and noticed that Zion is using the same website along with a large number of other parks. Recreation.gov.
The campground I need is full and it seems a spot opens up every few days or so for just an hour before it is booked by someone else.
It seems to me like there should be a service out there that will keep checking for me and send me a txt message as soon as one opens up. Or email or something.
I can't find one. Anyone know of something like this?
An investigation of recreation.gov shows they encourage third party sites to use their data and even have an API. So this can be built, and I could build it, but no need to reinvent the wheel if something like this already exists.
Ideas?
