;-) happy to have been the first reviewer. The book really is great, nice job to you both. As for the signatures, I did ask Bo to sign it and he was disappointed you were not there. He did mention the two of you would be together the following day and signing books.

Oh we'll, I guess I'll have to get you to sign the next book for me, I should have this one worn out from excessive use very soon, right? ;)

Book II is underway. After we sell 4,000 copies of this book, there will be a second edition. Bo is having a huge December party and book signing at the Desert Rat in December. Bring your book and I will John Hancock it!

Ordered my copy from Amazon last Thursday and received it USPS today.

The first thing I loved about it was the colors and distinctions between the info IE beta, maps, gps coords, etc. that allows it to be easy on the eyes, which scores big points on the reader. Sure, it isn't comprehensive (like Kelsey, but his is not too fun to read/follow) so you can score major points on the window-shopper tourist.

Anywayss......love the pics, color themes and the large, and very easy to read colorful maps.

This should make it a good seller in brick n mortar stores (if u choose that route).

Great job Bo and Tanya!


The one Feedback I have is I wish it had just a few more hikes in there. Not in a comprehensive manner, but just to add to the menu and diversity.

Or...maybe that was intentionally designed that way for book 2 eh??! Hmm..good thinking!

Thanks Jman! Yep! book 2 is in progress. The publisher set the limit of pages we could have for the price offered and the number of hikes we could have in it.

Thanks to everyone for your appreciation of our book! A typo was brought to my attention that is noteworthy. On pages 172,175,181 and 185 we list the phone number for the Kanab GSENM visitors Center contact incorrectly. Instead of 1-435-688-3200 (St. George Interagency #) the correct # to contact for permits relating to North and South Coyote Buttes, and Paria Wilderness is 1-435-644-1300/1301. Sorry for the inconvenience! The BLM has thoroughly chewed my A$$ on this one! Fortunately we only have 4000 copies of the book going out there on the first round:doh:

I know we called and gave the publishers the exact BLM information as one of the final corrections, because a new GSENM and BLM building were being built in Kanab. If anyone sees any other errors, let us know so they can be corrected for the next batch.
