Unions controlling the mining industry in Nevada. I don't doubt that, but the union workers AND union bosses work in the mines themselves. In a mining environment, "Obama" is a four letter word. Some of those guys are lifers, who are old enough to remember the years of racial segregation in this country (and still agree with it).

Heck.... I remember that... I still have a vivid memory of the first time I traveled outside Utah and saw the men's, women's and colored bathrooms at a restaurant and my dad explained which one I should use and why.

There were none of those segregated bathrooms in Utah during that time because there were no colored people (or very few) in Utah at the time except for Native American folks (I lived in Provo-Orem from 66 - 69 so I know).
However, I was raised in the deep South during most of the 60s and the first time as a child that I saw a "colored" water fountain next to a "white" fountain, I wanted to drink out of the colored one because I thought it would be kool-aid water or something of that nature since it was "colored". :ne_nau: Wow....a lifetime ago.....

You win. I'm eating my words this morning. I'm quite shocked that Obama took Nevada considering the demographic there.

Romney got OWNED!

MSNBC* apparently published a test-page for Tuesday’s election results by accident, calling the election for President Barack Obama, Politico’s Dylan Byers reports (http://www.politico.com/blogs/media/2012/11/early-election-results-via-msnbc-148500.html).
While the “Presidential results” show GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney winning the popular vote 55-43 percent, the chart shows President Obama winning the election with 280 electoral votes to Romney’s 257.
While MSNBC may be excited to proclaim Obama’s victory, the network may want to wait until the votes are counted.

*Update (4:18 p.m. ET): Dylan Byers of Politico issued the following correction to his article: “An earlier version of this post attributed the maps to MSNBC, because NBCNews pages are currently hosted on MSNBC.com. The map belongs to NBC, not MSNBC.”

OK -- this is just scary!!!! This map is almost a mirror image of the actual results. Either they've got Stewie's time machine or Obama's workin' his black magic. :haha:
