Just wanted to say hi from So Cal. We spent 10 days last year in Utah and now we are hooked. 4 days in Zion and did the Subway bottom up and yes we got past the lower pools (Top down was closed) and Angels landing. We moved over to Tropic Reservoir for 3 days and saw Bryce and did some quad riding in the area including Castro Canyon. Then we went to Escalante for 3 nights including a night overlooking Lake Powell at hole in the rock, a trip to Broken Bow arch and a trip up Peek a Boo and down Spooky Gulch. Just a great overall intro to the area.

Fast forward to this year and we have had 3 trips to Zion and planning on spending the long Thanksgiving weekend for the 4th trip. We have now added the Subway top down, Narrows top down overnight trip. Then my other half wanted to do more rappelling, So now we have added keyhole and she wanted to go bigger so now have added pine creek.

So any advise on things to do there would be greatly appreciated, we are new to canyonering and love camping, hiking and backpacking. This site has already been a big help. I even have a new sticker already for my new helmet, thanks in advance and I also have a problem when someone says ZIONS.

Mark.

Zions Zions Zions Zions.... Just kidding. when refering to Zion NP i use the name Zion too. BUTI feel bad for people that have a problem with using the word "Zions", really it isn't that big of a deal for anyone to worry about. Either way ppl understand what you are talking about. right?

Anyway.... rant over. Welcome to Bogley :2thumbs: Have a blast in Zion NP! Not very many places in this world that are prettier than that place! IMHO

Eric, I live in Yorba Linda. Maybe some day we could meet up and hit something local.
