I think I finally got it about that horn when you gave me the heads up acca.
Seems every time I wash my bike it is the one that gives me short issues. Lights up some leds for like two days.
Soon as I get the rear tag that bugger is going into the tool drawer till nest inspection. I've been trying to hunt this short out since I bought the bike.
It's the ground wires that have been giving me trouble.
I twisted the right rear blinker so hard at Cherry Creek that I replaced the rear signals with the 90* folders but larger ones trying to get this under control.
Seems when I tried to turn the blinker back to it's original position I turned 360* and thus pulled the wire out to the point of being bare that gave me a short.:crazycobasa:
It is all good now minus the two holes left and right I need to get figured out on top of the fender.
Heat gun and hot glue maybe:crazy: or just stickers or just a new rear fender that I don't need just yet but may in the near future the way I ride.:lol8:

2002. No paddle tire on it at the time, but I did wheelie it through the mudroom door. Ah, the fun! No damage to me or the bike. The doorjamb and molding however are toast! I called my wife when it happened and the first thing she asked was " You didn't damage the bike I hope!" She's great. :thumbup:

Moto Madness: Ok so I got my safety inspection done and Ins. is paid. ( this would be for the Bike)
My plan was first thing in the morn to go down to DMV and get my plates a rolling:2thumbs: But I have also been in the middle of new tires for the truck and that's when I noticed the dreaded desert rot on all three belts and all three Radiator hoses. So I called my go to guys at Ford cause I will never take my Nissan to Stephen Wade again thinking it would take a day or two to get parts in.
They called me right back and scheduled a appt. for 8:00 am. Cool Then they tell me it will take about 4 hrs.
Now we all know this means 5 1/2 or 6 hrs right?

Boy are they going to be supprised when I haul my dirt bike out and start changing into gear at 7:30 and hand them the keys at 8:00 and say see ya about 2:00PM and don't call me I'll call you.:lol8:

Madness? Maybe not but I'll be damed if I'm going to sit there for hrs.:facepalm1: when Bloomington is just down the road.:lol8:

Moto Madness is when you realise you went through a case of oil in two months and it takes only 1.6 Qrts. or 52 ozs. per oil change.
I only change mine every 15 hrs. Have no idea how this one snuck upon me but it did. Time to order another case:ride:

I'm lucky to be alive. Not many highside at over 80 in the dirt and ride back home.

I've seen this video before. I'm going to try the grease method. Looks messy, but seems like a smart idea. I just realized that I have been binding my fork by over tightening my axle. Guess it's part of the learning curve. Duh!

That 570 just plain rocks out of the bumpy corners no dought about but that seat needs something more than a 2x4 two sit on.

I think I'm about to tip my hat to a new tire and see just what happens/ something harder in the rear end and skinnier that with some high hopes make me track a hole lot better. I don't have the skills to push that big IRC but I do wont speed.

Out here it will be an 51 or 71 Dunlop 51 wears really fast but hooks like no other 71 lives longer but don't hook the same.

THe KTM comes with a 51 stock?

BUt the 403 up front is going to stay. Same deal to soft wears to fast but by far the most reliable tire when you need it.

For those of you that ride on your ass all day I'm sure you will have a different idea But those of you that know where the rear break is while standing you will love this tire.

She is stern as hell and hates me when I get to far out of line.
She will let me ride her all day long and never complains not even when I tend to point things wrong.
She always loves me and will go were ever I want.
When pushed to hard she says oh no boys we aint going there.
I can ride her wet or dry and she never complains.
Seems like the harder I ride her the more receptive she becomes.
She only asks for some lube from time to time to keep things in rythem.

A guy could never ask her for more than she does now.

Loves to be fed high octane and has no concerns of how muddy her feet get.

Just got done replacing all linkage and swing arm bearings. That was fun. .....? Plus new front and rear tires, new air filter and clutch. This thing is ready to ride.

Moto madness-

Got a great ride in today but came back with about a short ton of mud.
Washed it off and really pissed off my neighbor down hill.
His gutter was plugged with mud so I grabbed a wheel barrow, Shovel, and big ass broom to make it right.

But low and behold it started to rain again.

Hope he holds onto my wheel barrow till I get back.:)

This bike freaking rocks.

Laid down 3.3 hrs today of sweet wet bliss with some heavy clay slippery shit but the washes were great.:stud:
So sweet and fast that the mud stung as it flipped of the front tire in fifth gear.
A day to never be forgot.
It started with a bottle for fuel for an old friend and spent several minutes before getting started with talk to a young pro.
Great day to get out and we tore it up with 47 miles of slipp sliding and gear wrenching washes.

MY NIEGHBOR hates me but hill get over it. OR not..
