Hello all. My name is Oz Backman and I am from Cottonwood, Az. I spend most of my free time checking out Indian ruins or cave exploring. I have caved all over Az., N.Mx., Tex., Ca. and a few other places. I at one time was the Cave Resource Specialist for the Coconino National Forest in a volunteer capacity and have performed a multitude of volunteer tasks for caves (ie: bat monitoring, mapping, initial explorations and resource monitoring, restoration, etc.) I have discovered several intact pottery vessels in several different caves in Northern Arizona and am pleased to report that the items are still intact and in place after nearly 20 years after discovery.
I have been visiting Indian Ruins for nearly 20 years and have recently got a bug to go back to Cedar Mesa to attempt to check out a ruin that I spied the last time I was in the area. Have done a bit of research and can't find any reference or info about the proposed ruin. I will be going back up to the area within the next month and if all goes well, I will have something cool to post.
I just got back last weekend from checking on the largest jar/olla that I have discovered and all was well. This was south of Flagstaff in a rather large Lava Sink.
I may go out to Tule Canyon (a tributary of Sycamore Canyon, Az.) this weekend to look at a cliff dwelling that I saw about two years ago and haven't had the chance get back to and will also let you know what I found.

Any one wanting to come down to the verde Valley and check out some cool stuff let me know. Cheers all Oz Backman
