That totally sucks and my prayers go out to his family. Reminds me of one of my greatest fears growing up. Came off a horse farm and used to spend my summer training the 2 year olds. We always wanted to expose them to all sorts of stuff so that they would be safe for anyone we sold them to. So I would have to ride them back and forth over a local bridge that went over I-81. Was always so afraid of one spooking and sending me over the edge.

It is a shame too if the death was partly caused by poor road condtions even though the sponsers did provide road condition updates.

Yeah, very sad deal. Especially being almost finished with the race, but nonetheless.
