Apologies if this has been brought up already, but I don't remember seeing this in any of the reports on the Right Fork. On my way to the top of Cougar Mountain today (yeah, that was pretty hot, glad I started before the sun came up) I confirmed that the landslide lake in the Right Fork, near Trail Canyon, is gone, a victim of our recent bout of storms.
From a trip down the Right Fork in May:
58432
And this morning. The dam has been breached completely and the lake drained. Note the boulder itself has fallen over some, I suppose as the sediment it was laying in was washed out.
58433
Swimming through the lake in May (very refreshing by the way):
58440
And now, not so refreshing:
58435
Much of the sand and sediment has been washed down the canyon, filling the stream and creating some nice quicksand, some of it knee-deep in places. Well, it was fun while it lasted.
