Aahhh yes...that was outstanding. Like indulging in your favorite ice cream. Better watch it though, some of the super sensitive feminist types around here may get all bent out of shape, and I'm not just talking about females. We're not supposed to look at them like that, let alone think perverted thoughts. Screw 'em, I'm really looking forward to the gymnastics and the beach volleyball. Daddy like....

Now if they would just eliminate all the candyass events that require judging...... any real sport and you know who won and don't need a judge to tell you.

Yeah, in regards to Lochte, they've profiled his intense training regime. He's pretty damn hardcore...yet he gets his ass kicked by three other guys. You've got to wonder, what are THEY doing for training?

On another note, how about that Chinese woman who they think had to be doped up to swim like that? Did you see that? Faster than any man did it...Hmmmm.

The Chinese remind me a lot of the old days and the East German (GDR) women. It's hard to believe the Chinese could be that much better in such a short period of time without a little pharmaceutical help.

And a little FYI.... I know some of you guys are hoping this means "one at a time.... please form a single line"

But it means line block on both attacks. So they can serve either player and the blocker is going to cover the line attack and the back defender will cover the cross court attack....

If she sticks her thumb out that doesn't mean she likes the "shocker"... than means the server is to serve the player the thumb points towards and she will cover the line attack.

An Australian newspaper has sparked a potential diplomatic storm by rebranding North and South Korea 'Naughty' and 'Nice'.

The Brisbane Metro sneaked the joked into their coverage of the Olympics, where it featured on a medal table, charting the progress of nations competing at London 2012.

The 'rebranding' has attracted a wave of interest and is trending on Twitter, where some users have accused the newspaper of 'racism'.

Phelps Drowns
August 4, 2012

http://o.onionstatic.com/images/17/17683/16x9/635.jpg?5069

LONDON—American swimmer Michael Phelps, who earned 21 medals and became the most decorated Olympian of all time, drowned Saturday while competing in the last scheduled race of his career, officials for the London games confirmed.

According to sources, during the third leg of the 400-meter medley relay, Phelps, a very competent swimmer and 17-time gold medalist, began struggling in the pool, ingested a fatal amount of water, and subsequently died from primary respiratory impairment. He was 27.

"Though Mr. Phelps was swimming the butterfly at the time—one of his best strokes—he appeared to become distressed during his second lap and began wildly flailing his arms and legs," Team USA medical director Bill Moreau said at a press conference outside the London Aquatics Centre. “For the next 30 seconds, he furiously gasped for air while thrashing the surface in a desperate attempt to remain afloat.”

"After nearly a minute of his head repeatedly emerging from the water only to quickly disappear again beneath the surface, Phelps' body became limp,” Moreau added. “We would have stopped the race, but he was leading at the time."

Poolside witnesses reported that Phelps—a world-record holder in the 100-meter butterfly, 200-meter butterfly, and 400-meter individual medley—displayed all the classic signs of drowning: head low in the water, eyes open with fear evident in the face, and a complete lack of body control.

The three-time Olympian and world champion, known as the Baltimore Bullet and Flying Fish for his prowess in the pool, reportedly only had 25 meters left in his leg of the relay as well as in his entire storied career when he began choking on water and attempting to scream for help.

Sources confirmed Phelps appeared as if he was desperately trying to swim to the shallow end of the pool, but toxic amounts of water filled his lungs before he was able to do so.

"This is not the way I wanted Michael to go out," longtime coach Bob Bowman told reporters. "Maybe after 20 years of intense training and swimming, he just got tired and couldn’t do it anymore."

Added Bowman, "At least he drowned as the greatest swimmer of all time."

Michael Fred Phelps II is survived by his mother, Deborah; his father, Michael Sr.; and two sisters, Hilary and Whitney.

According to Jessica's coach, an unnamed British athletics official labeled the 5ft 5in powerhouse fat earlier this year. Jess Ennis might not have long supermodel-esque legs like some of the athletes she competed against at the Olympics, but she's about as far from fat as a woman can get—it would probably be impossible to pinch an inch anywhere on her body.

Anyone labeling Jessica Ennis fat or heavy is a complete idiot...

I'll take a woman with an athletic build over the skinny crack whore super model look any day of the week. One of the things I like about the Olympics is looking at all the muscles, on both the men and women. You look at the bodies some of these athlete's have built and you have to admire the work and dedication.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/olympics/athletics/9456300/Usain-Bolt-celebrates-100m-gold-with-Swedish-womens-handball-team.html

Usain Bolt celebrates 100m gold with Swedish women's handball team Usain Bolt didn't need to leave the athletes' village to toast his 100 metres gold, preferring to celebrate with three members of the Swedish women's handball team. http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/02301/bolt_2301349b.jpg Party time: Usain Bolt posted this photo of him celebrating his 100m victory with three Swedish handball players on twitter

Bolt beat his training partner Yohan Blake to retain his 100m title and in the process set a new Olympic (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/olympics/) record of 9.63 sec. The 25 year-old decided to enlist the help of Gabriella Kain, Isabelle Gullden and Jamina Roberts, who lost all five of their matches and finished bottom of their group in the handball tournament, to celebrate his victory.

The photo is slightly surprising considering that Bolt had insisted there would be no celebrations as he still has to try and retain his 200m crown.

“This gold means I am one step closer to being a legend so I'm working toward that,” Bolt said. “That's just one step, I have the 200m to go so I can't celebrate.”

A Swedish newspaper reported that the trio asked Bolt’s coach for accreditation so that they could congratulate the sprinter and spent an hour-and-a half in the sprinting legend's bedroom.

The Swedish ladies were not his only admirers. After confirming his status as the fastest man on earth he even got a kiss from last night’s silver medallist in the 400m Christine Ohuruogu.

Go Bolt! Everything I see on this guy is awesome. :2thumbs::2thumbs::2thumbs:

Sent using TapatalkYeah, this has been tons of fun to watch. I think we'll definitely lead in medals by the time it's all over.

Y'know, it's a shame when I read in other forums how Europeans, in particular, can't stand us. They really badmouth the US...you would think we live in a lawless, bigoted society full of psychotics. Yet I see so much diversity in our athletes, and the pride they have for our country...putting their hands over their hearts for the anthem, for example...or praising God. I just don't get it...perhaps it's envy. That would breed the resentment, at least. Regardless, there's still no other place in the world I would want to live.

Is it just me, or is Ryan Lockte walking around stoned all the time? Droopy eyelids...slurred speech....impaired cognitive function (as demonstrated by his inability to talk coherently)....when was the last time he was drug tested?

Oh for cryin' out loud...I was living in the city she was born in, when she was born! She could have been in the stroller that was wheeling by as I was gassing up my Jeep. It's enough to make a man cry.
