Got out and had my first race and had my hat handed to me as usual:lol8:

Great fun, very challenging and I highly recommend that everyone tries it at least once in their lifetime.

For those that don't know me I'm #8 on the list above.
And yes they messed it up and I was on my Yamadog YZ not my HON.
Under a minute and a half off the fastest man in my class on my best lap as to his best lap time.

Only made five laps in the 60 minute race time and it was my third lap.
I did not pre ride at all> no practice > no getting the feel of the course< NODDA.

Once again I had my hat handed to me :lol8: Seems to be the same with any and all my rides.

Oh look I even gained 13 points.:facepalm1:

This race was one rutted out mofo and by far the hardest stuff I have ever riddin and by far the most fun.

This was my first race and it took everything I could muster just to stave off the pannick that wants to over ride your common sence.
I finished, I did not get hurt, And most important I did not come in last.
That was everything I set my goals for on my first race and it was a blast and rugged as hell.
I'd say about 1/10th was just plain hard core enduro stuff with mud and rocks (boulders) but always on the wet side of the creek crossings.
First time I have ever been on a MX track and that slowed my arse down for sure.
Dam rythems> one day I'll figure them out but it was not to be on my first day.
My over all was 47 out of 50 but my 50-C ( VET SPORTSMAN) class was 8 out of 9.

NOTE: The only Utahn in my line up for a Utah race.
The rush is unexplainable and all should give it a try.
Thanks CHET and 40 CAL and everyone else for some great advise and I'm already looking forward to my next race.

Looks like Desert next time and I hope to see some of you there.

THe funniest part is when the guys rolled in after the practice run they were covered from head to toe in mud.
So I took an extra pair of goggles out with me with two more at my pit plus a plash of gas.
Turns out I did not use half my tank and kept the first pair of goggles for the intire hr. with just a few spots of roost to them.:hail2thechief:

My guess is you will be about the time we do this here Bendover desert thing up north and way west. RIGHT?:lol8:

Maybe we can take advantage of these guys while they are sitting on the fence to pit for us.

I feel the need for speed and some dust again.

And yes fourty I wish you could have made this one it was rightous bro. deep and steep and very unforgiving just what a rider could only ask for bro.

Bottom line boys and girls is it's like going to a Greatful dead concert _ you'll never know - unless you go!

Just a quick question for you all.
I'm going to buy myself a go pro but do not and I repeat do not want to support the stores that are SUWA or any other tree huggers against riders type of stores and I need suggestions?

Thank You in advance very much by supporting our sport.

I'll tell you one thing that I noticed is this here 604 on the rear with only 60% tire hooked up were others struggled for sure in the wet stuff .....

I had her down to 13 and a half while my front was 13 pounds.
Perfect for the wet ass enduros stuff and worked well till the MX tracks crap but was a hookin and bookin in the corners.

THem dam rythems ere another story alltogether however.
