A man in Palmetto, Florida ate a chunk of human flesh Wednesday night after becoming intoxicated on an unknown substance, stripping off his clothing and going on a rampage through his girlfriend’s home while visiting his children.

26-year-old Charles Baker reportedly had to be Tasered multiple times before police were able to subdue him, according to ABC affiliate News Net 5. (http://www.newsnet5.com/dpp/news/national/Latest-zombie-eating-attack-man-under-the-influence-gets-naked-bites-off-chunk-of-mans-arm) Officers were called after he burst through the home’s front door shouting and removing his clothes.

Officials said in a media advisory (http://manateesheriff.com/wps/portal/!ut/p/c1/04_SB8K8xLLM9MSSzPy8xBz9CP0os3hDDy_vUCM_IwMLA0c3Ay MfywBLN1M3QyAXKB9pFh8GA25-Po4GRob-Ji4uHr6GBoZmxOjGJW9gSEB3OMi1uFWYmEHk8bkOJG-AAzga4Dcf6D4_j_zcVP2C3NAIg0xPXQD0WwAF/dl2/d1/L0lDU0lKSWdrbUEhIS9JRFJBQUlpQ2dBek15cXchL1lCSkoxTk ExTkk1MC01RncvN18xSEpLVTJOMjAwQzQyMDJEODROMTdJMEdH My80ZTVkTzE4MjYwMDUw/?PC_7_1HJKU2N200C4202D84N17I0GG3_WCM_CONTEXT=/wps/wcm/connect/MSO%20Press%20Releases%20Content/mso+press+release+site/news+releases/bite062112) that Baker began throwing furniture around the house after entering, and resisted when one of the residents, 48-year-old Jeffery Blake, tried to wrestle him to the ground. That’s when Baker reportedly bit Blake, ripping a mouthful of flesh from one of his biceps.

The case is another in a string of bizarre, flesh-eating assaults (http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/06/01/cdc-denies-rumors-of-zombie-apocalypse/) that have occurred all over the nation in recent months, the first of which happened in Miami, Florida. In that assault, 31-year-old Rudy Eugene was shot to death after he tore off most of a homeless man’s face with his teeth (http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/05/29/miami-cannibal-identified-by-police-bath-salts-blamed-for-rampage/).

Police later blamed Eugene’s gruesome attack on a synthetic drug called mephedrone, found in so-called “bath salts” products commonly available in stores across the U.S. No connection between the drug and Baker’s rampage has been established.

Good hell!!!

Mephedrone is not a scheduled drug in the U.S. yet. It was declared illegal only as recently as September 2011. It's considered an analog of other drugs, and declared illegal by the Federal Analog Act.

The drug scheduling in this country is a joke. For example, Why is Meth a schedule 2 drug, and Marijuana a schedule 1 drug when supposedly Meth is the most dangerous drug in America? And don't try and feed me this nonsense about "Marijuana being a gateway drug," because that doesn't make any sense. A gateway drug to what.....drugs that belong to a lower scheduling? Coke and Morphine are also schedule 2 -- so logic SHOULD dictate that Meth, Coke, & Mephedrone should be schedule 1, and Marijuana schedule 2 or 3 (in order to validate the argument that Marijuana is a Gateway drug to more dangerous drugs).

Think about it. http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/schedules/index.html
