Ran Lodore with family. Second day we had 50-60 mph winds and it was a total bitch!
We had a flip on Triplet rapid, a few broken oars, a lot of bruises and a bad swim. Luckily everyone is ok. Funny thing was it was the same day John Powell flipped on Upper Disaster rapid (just a mile up from Triplet).
I didn't take much pictures/videos, just a few from camp. The water was very low (~1000-1200 cfs through Lodore) and Yampa was at 800-1000 cfs. It was very rocky and technical. I got hung up 5 times through out the trip. One was a bad one through Triplet when I was leading the group. I got hung up and the rookie captain behind me ended up passing me and she didn't know the line and flipped, so partially it was my fault.
A couple of pics from the trip:
My wife is having a tough day on the river :lol8:
